OASIS GARDENS IS AN AWARD-WINNING TEAM WORKING HARD AT CREATING BEAUTIFUL LANDSCAPES SINCE 1985
Our designers have bachelor’s degrees in Landscape Architecture and have designed projects in many overseas locales. We are able to offer a wide variety of authentic design styles that can be melded with indigenous terrain, climates, plant species and architecture. As you can see in our portfolio our landscapes range from Mediterranean-style villas to Oriental Gardens, from carved stone fountains to natural spring-like waterfalls, and from native xeriscape plants to lush tropicals. We at Oasis Gardens look forward to helping you create your own personal oasis.
OUR TEAM AND HISTORY
J.Peter Fleury graduated in 1976 with a bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture. For 8 years he worked with different firms on projects in Denver, San Antonio, Austin, Japan, Michigan, Italy, and India.
In 1984 he chose to settle in Austin, Texas because of the year-round climate, which is conductive to many landscape styles; the hill country terrain, with its boulder and rock capabilities; and the vibrant Austin lifestyles and cultures.
In 1985 Peter started Oasis Gardens as a sole proprietorship. The business grew with Austin in the nineties and became incorporated.
Manager Bill Agin, one of our two licensed, irrigators brings technical expertise for our various waterscapes and lighting systems. He helps manage our irrigation, masonry, lighting, carpentry and septic crews. Mike Nolan also came on board with another Landscape Architecture degree, and helped Oasis Gardens start its own nursery, farm, and supply yard. Meanwhile, Peter gained more national and international experience designing projects in California, Bali, Italy, Hawaii, and Brazil.
Oasis Gardens is very happy to welcome Vivian Loftin in October 2010, as our licensed landscape architect #2236 with all her expertise and experience, a great asset to our team.
HOW WE WORK
As a design-build company our first step is a consultation/interview. This is when we meet to learn the styles you would like with your site and architecture of your project.
In this first meeting we will also determine a design fee based on the scope of the project. This design fee guarantees a professionally designed and drafted landscape plan (AutoCAD), including irrigation, lighting, hardscape, waterscape designs, and an itemized installation proposal showing the specific cost of each component.
The design fee is due when the plans and proposals are presented. Bringing your plans to life begins with the signing of the installation contract. Weekly progress payments are then due only after the work is completed
